Benefits of Underfloor Heating
It has been proven that because an underfloor installation runs at a lower temperature to conventional radiators, you can save on your heating bills between 15-40%
Underfloor Heating heats a room more evenly, from the ground up. With a conventional heating system, the air travels up to the ceiling, effectively heating from the roof down, meaning the air travels in a circular cycle without providing a huge benefit to you as an end user. By having the heating under the floor in your bathroom, the heat travels from the floor to the ceiling, radiating upwards and providing more benefit (which is reflected in any monetary savings).
Without conventional radiators installed there are less nooks and crannies in your bathroom to gather any dusts and set off allergies in young children and the frail.
Your wet bathroom floor will dry quicker, so any spills or splashes at bath time will evaporate quicker help reduce the risk of slipping over and “wet sock syndrome”
It also reduces the risk of children and adults burning their fingers on hot radiators, and prevents little fingers fiddling with thermostats, which again reduces the burn risk.

Electricity is highly dangerous and in worst cases, fatal.
Bathroom Lighting and Electric Shower
The ONLY occasions electricity and bathrooms are mentioned together are when referring to an electric shower or light fitting.
There is a wide selection of electric showers on the market. At KDE we always recommend that these showers are installed in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and relevant building regulations by a suitably qualified registered electrician. Any information contained on this page is purely to inform and help with any decisions you may make when purchasing your equipment, not as a guide.
Electric showers heat whilst drawing the water through the system and are not ideal for every bathroom installation. In some cases it is more preferable to have a Mixer Valve shower, especially if you have a combination boiler.

We take care of all bathroom plumbing
But what happens if your installation has been installed by another company and your guarantee has run out?
Contact our professional service to take care of any major plumbing work that needs to be repaired. There are some steps you can take to repair a leaking tap or at worst a leak in the ceiling!
Check that your mastic is still in place, occasionally with a Shower you may find some has come lose from the wall after general wear and tear, also ill fitting shower doors can leak water through the crack and make it seem like you have a plumbing disaster on your hands.
